Former Police Officer Endorses Gary Cordery For Governor

Eric Moutus
Today, Republican candidate for Governor of Hawai’i, Gary Cordery, a successful businessman and entrepreneur, was endorsed by author, documentary film creator and former Salt Lake City Police Officer Eric Moutsos.

In 2014, Salt Lake City police officer Eric Moutsos asked to be appointed to a security assignment instead of partaking in the celebration of the Utah Gay Pride Parade due to his religious views. This request resulted in Moutsos losing his badge and gun. When the story later gained great notoriety, claiming an unidentified member of the Department had been put on a leave of absence for “discrimination,” Moutsos resigned from his position, eventually detailing his experience in his book Dispatched – Conscience or Conformity.

Moutsos later created the group Utah Revival, which focused on helping small businesses by standing up for their constitutionally protected rights. The group now has over 35,000 members.
Moutsos also assisted in the creation of the Documentary film Non- Essential, which highlights what “We the People” are capable of if we stand together for Liberty. In late 2020, Moutsos became Salt Lake Tribune Readers’ Choice for Utahn of the Year.
“Eric is a phenomenal individual who fearlessly fights for his constitutional rights, even when confronted with great hardship,” stated Gary Cordery. “Eric risked everything to take a stand for his religious beliefs, something I greatly admire and wholeheartedly support. His fight for freedom has resulted in tens of thousands of people joining his group and possibly hundreds of thousands seeing his documentary film and reading his book. As Governor of Hawai’i, a top priority of mine will be to assure the people of this great state that their rights are respected and upheld, which is why Eric’s support is so humbling.”
Eric Moutsos’ endorsement statement can be viewed below:
As a former police officer from the state of Utah, I had an incredible opportunity to come and stand with the freedom loving people of Hawai’i during the unconstitutional lockdowns the state was imposing on the people. I worked with Gary Cordery at a very successful pro-America event where the spirit of liberty was truly felt. I know Gary not only has the drive to bring great and much needed change to Hawai’i, but he also stands on the necessary principles that will help preserve the Constitution of the United States of America. Please vote for this man.
